Arabian kofta
Ingredients:
1 pound ground lamb or beef
1/2 onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup fresh parsley leaves, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Olive oil, for brushing
Directions:
Preheat your grill to high heat.
In a large bowl, mix together the ground lamb or beef, onion, parsley, garlic, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper.
Divide the mixture into 6 to 8 portions and shape each one into a long, thin sausage shape.
Brush the kofta with olive oil.
Grill the kofta over high heat until browned and cooked through, about 3-5 minutes per side.
Serve with pita bread, hummus, and your favorite vegetables or salad.
